Game rules for Queens Count

Learn the whole game in about a minute — the goal, the controls, the four special cards, and the opening turns of a real match.
The Goal
Move all 5 of your tokens from your base, across the board, and into your Home lane before your opponent does. There are no dice — every move comes from a playing card in your hand.
Your Turn
- Tap a card to select it — every token that card can move will glow.
- Tap a glowing token to preview its move; tap it again to confirm.
- Each round deals a first hand of 5 cards, then 4, then 4.
- If you can't play any card, your whole hand is discarded and your turn is lost.
Card Actions
King
Bring a token onto the board from your base.
Ace
Bring a token onto the board from base, OR move any token 1 space forward.
Number Cards
Move a token forward that many spaces.
The Three
The only backward card: move back 3 spaces — or shortcut straight into Home from your start square.
Jack
Swap any of your tokens in play with one of your opponent's. (Fast Mode: may instead bring a token onto the board.)
Queen
Move a token forward 12 spaces. (Fast Mode: may instead bring a token onto the board.)
The Rules
- Landing on an opponent's token bumps it back to base.
- You can enter the Home lane and land on any open Home square, but you cannot overshoot past the last one.
- Only the cards named above can bring a token onto the board — until then, your tokens wait in base.
- First player to get all 5 tokens Home wins.
Board Layouts
Pick a board in Settings → Change Board Layout (switching starts a new game):
| Board | How it plays |
|---|---|
| Square | Travel around the outer ring to your Home lane. |
| Circle | Move clockwise around the circle. You start at the bottom, your opponent at the top. |
| Triangle | Move clockwise around the triangle's perimeter. You start at the bottom-center, your opponent at the apex. |
Game Modes
Pick a rule set in Settings → Game Mode:

| Standard | Only a King or Ace can bring a token onto the board. |
| Fast Mode | A Jack, Queen, King or Ace can bring a token onto the board — games start faster. |
Scoring
Points reward outcomes, not card luck:

| Win the game | +500 |
| Speed bonus — finish under par | +10 per move under par (up to +300) |
Your score converts to XP after every game — win or lose — carrying you up the ranks from Page all the way to Queen Eternal.
The Daily Challenge
Once a day, every player in the world gets the same shuffled deck on the same board. You get one attempt — your score is comparable with everyone else's, and your best lands on the global leaderboard.
